Why take a surfing lesson ?
1- To have a good time
First of all, the goal is to have a good time! What could be better than a physical and fun activity in the fresh air? After a surf lesson, you will feel fresh as a daisy!
A surfing class can be a real experience: the emulation of the group, cool surf instructors, laughter, mutual help and maybe even the emergence of a new passion...
Ps : It is even possible to book a private lesson for your family only !
2- To benefit from all the necessary equipment
The practice of this sport requires a rather important and expensive equipment: surfboard adapted to your level and morphology, wetsuit, leash... One less concern with surf schools, they take care of everything!
3- Learn to read the ocean
The ocean is a natural element that requires permanent vigilance. For your safety, it is therefore essential to understand the formation of the waves, the functioning of the "spot", the ideal placement to take advantage of the wave... For those who wish to continue learning, the surf instructor will also advise you on: the size of the waves, the wind intensity, its direction, the tide...
4- To get good reflexes to stand on the board
Let's face it, pushing the door of a surf school will save you precious time!
Lie down on the ground and jump to stand up... Easy! On the water, the "take-off" becomes more complicated. The surf instructor, while adapting to your level, will break down the gesture and correct you so that you do not anchor bad reflexes in your practice.
5- To benefit from advice on how to continue your practice
Do you want to continue ? Many surf schools are also there to help you further with : more intensive courses, advice on the choice of your personal board... But also, on the "codes to respect" and the rules of priority, an important step to spend a nice session in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Would you like to help preserve the ocean?
It is important to support eco-friendly surf brands like Salters. You will find a range of clothing made of 100% organic cotton and 10% of your order is donated to NGOs that fight to save our oceans from the pollution we know today! It is never too late to act!
